Established in 1976, Metro Dance Center has taught hundreds of students in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.  We offer both recreational and competitive dancing in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, pointe, and lyrical styles for students of all ages.

Metro Dance Center Under New Ownership

Twelve years ago, Brad and Colleen Wood purchased Metro Dance Center, and have done a wonderful job of running the studio and providing a loving atmosphere for the students.  Now that they have 5 grandchildren, they have decided that they want more time with their grandkids! 

Effective June 15, 2009, Becky Jacobs and Danielle Wood-Twohy have become the new owners of Metro Dance Center.  Becky has been the Lead Artistic Director at the studio for several years, and Danielle has been managing the business side.  We look forward to some exciting new opportunities, such as our summer musical theater production, in addition to Metro Dance Center's award-winning competition lines and recreational classes.

We would like to thank Brad and Colleen for their leadership at the studio.  There are so many students who have had a positive change in their life due to the relationships they have established with the owners and teachers at the studio.  Brad and Colleen have truly made an impact on the lives of many children!
